Frequently asked questions.
Does HPTC accept medical insurance?
Yes, we are happy to share that we accept the following insurances: Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Fallon Health (Fallon Community Care only), Harvard Pilgrim, MassHealth, MGB Health Plan (including the ACO plan), United, and Wellpoint. We plan to accept additional insurance providers in the coming weeks and months in order to improve access for our community.
If I pay privately, can I submit for reimbursement to my insurance?
We can provide you with a superbill to submit to your medical insurance so you can request reimbursement for physical therapy services. HEP Check-Ins as well as Weekly Movement Groups are not eligible for insurance reimbursement.
Is there a waitlist to begin physical therapy?
We are pleased to announce that there is no waitlist at this time for physical therapy!
Do I need a referral for physical therapy?
For those using insurance, it depends on your plan. If you are unsure, we can verify with your insurance provider. For self-pay patients, referrals are not necessary but are always welcome.
How can I be referred to your practice?
Your child’s provider can fax the PT referral/order to our office’s fax number: 508-905-6950. Once we receive the fax number, we will call you to set up your child’s initial evaluation. Alternatively, parents can contact us directly and either bring in a paper referral to your child’s first appointment or ask their provider to fax the referral prior to the initial evaluation.
